Instructor Lorenzo Smith was born in a small town in North Florida. He was the last of five children. While growing up, he and his brother loved spending Saturday afternoons watching martial arts movies. Instructor Smith always wished he could learn martial arts and perform the “cool” moves he saw the actors performing. He would even try some of them out on his cousins in the back yard.

After working many years in a corporate environment, Instructor Smith realized he was not fulfilled and in December 2008, moved to Douglasville, GA. The following year, he decided to fulfill his dream and opened SMITH'S MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY in May 2009. Today he shares his passion for Taekwondo with students from all over metro Atlanta.

"We are not put on this Earth forever. Therefore, we should fulfill every dream we have as soon as possible."
